Bronwynne Cornish

Education:  Wellington Polytechnic School of Design/ Wellington College of Education.

Bronwynne Cornish has become one of New Zealand's best known makers of sculptural ceramics over a career which spans some 40 years. Her work is exhibited throughout the country, where she has had major shows in all the main museums and galleries. Since beginning to work with clay in 1968, she has developed a practice which is largely sculptural, including many installations and large works. Her central themes reflect a strong interest in place, ritual and mythology.
