Born: 1952, North Carolina, USA, emigrated to NZ in 1981.
Education: University of the South, Tennessee later earning a BA Cum Laude at the University of North Carolina.
An apprenticeship at the Johnson Atelier in Princeton, New Jersey provided renaissance style training in the techniques of sculpture.
Exhibiting since 1979, Jim has had many solo and group exhibitions in NZ and Internationally. Work held in The British Museum, The Auckland Museum and The Weatherspoon Art Museum (USA), The James Wallace Trust and Zealandia Sculpture Gardens.
